in Kabuki

A warm hello to the sweet Kabuki! She is a 5 year old spayed girl who is up to date on all her vaccinations, crate & leash trained and housebroken.

Kabuki was surrendered by her owner due to allergies in the family. Kabuki is a very affectionate Shiba. She loves to play fetch with tennis balls, receive lots of petting and belly rubs with her humans. She also enjoys playing with her toys. Plushies are her favorite!

Kabuki is certainly a people’s dog. She loves visitors and is very happy to meet new people. She is great with older kids as well. Kabuki, however, should be an only dog. While she did grow up with other dogs in the home, she has grown accustomed to being an only dog and prefers the company of humans.

She also knows her basic commands including Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Off, No and Leave it. She even responds to hand signals for these commands.

If you are looking for an amazingly sweet and loving companion, Kabuki will be sure to fill that place in your home.

Hi Glenn.
So sorry to hear about your German Shepherd. If you are interested in Kabuki, you should submit an application. (An application can be downloaded from http://nycshibarescue.org/adopting-a-shiba/ ) After we review the application, we check references and conduct a home visit.

I am very interested in adopting Kabuki. I live in Long Island New York and have a very nice sized backyard. I have two boys, 9 and 7 that would love this dog and my wife is a stay at home mom. Please let me know if Kabuki is still available.

Hi Carl,

Every dog that is listed on our home page as “available” is currently available, so, yes, Kabuki is available for adoption.

Our adoption process starts when an adoption application is submitted, so if you are interested in adopting from us, please submit an application. (An application can be downloaded from http://nycshibarescue.org/adopting-a-shiba/ ) Applications are reviewed in chronological order based on date received. Depending on the initial review, we check references and conduct a home visit.

After the home visit, if we have a dog that you are interested in and we think is a good match, then we set up a time/place for you to meet the dog. Following the meeting, there is a 24 hour waiting period during which all parties decide if the adoption should move forward.

Thanks!
Jenna
