Bea came to us from a high-kill shelter in Kentucky. Bea lived most of her life on a chain outside. She is an older girl, is wonderful on a leash and is very nice. Her owner said she had a tendency to be nippy, but she has not shown that at the shelter. Bea is [continue reading...]

NYC Shiba Rescue, Inc. (NYCSR) participated in the 29th Annual Pet Fair yesterday. The fair takes place in Trailside Park in Mountainside, NJ.

Kobe is doing well in his new foster home. He weighs 22 lbs. and is healthy.
The resident dog in his first foster home didn’t take well to Kobe, and Kobe got a nip on his leg. After the vet changed his antibiotic and prodded his injury, Kobe was 100% better.

Recently, we heard from Fuji’s new owner – Maria – who reports that Fuji and her cat, Mojave, are amazing but also a handful. “They aren’t exactly the best of friends, but they’ve gotten used to and accepted each other.”
