Sunny is an eight year old red male shiba who came to us on 6/22. His owner had to move and were not able to take him. He’s a friendly boy who is good with children, adults, and the vet. He will play with a squeaky toy and is a gentle dog.
He likes other dogs, is very good at meeting new people, but does not like thunder storms. We’re not sure how he’d act with cats. Sunny walks well on a leash, is house broken, and knows some commands. As you can see he’s a big boy and needs to lose some weight but he has a lot of love to give.

Sunny is a cute boy…looks like he hasn’t met too many meals that he didn’t like though. He looks like he is umm, well…slightly plump
Our Shiba, Triton was a rescue from a private owner on your site. He was 50 lbs when we got him!!! He’s now down to a perfect 34 lbs (he’s a tall boy) and he is much happier. Shibas are so athetic it’s easy to get the weight off. Sunny is so cute!
Let me know when Sunny is available….he sounds like he is ultra sweet and an all around good boy. (Sounds like his only flaw at all is that he’s a little chunky, but hey….that’s why they make diet food and long walks…right?)
He sounds like our Ranger, who would eat his way through a banquet, if given the chance. Sometimes without even chewing. Great pookie I hope he gets a permanent home soon. I’d take him if I could. Any chance of more pictures?
We are hoping that Sunny’s foster has taken more pics. We know that everyone is curious to see how much weight Sunny has lost and if he looks like a slim, trim, new dog!
