A few weeks ago Pixie showed some signs of illness and we weren’t sure how serious it was. It seemed that her kidneys were not working 100% and may have had an infection or something that might require some extra TLC for the rest of her life.

Sunny is becoming a trim and fit doggie! He’s about 39 lbs now and he looks great. Sunny has a wonderful disposition and gets very excited to see and meet people. Toby is having a ball with his foster family, and he’s doing well. His foster dad, John, told us that Toby’s getting his winter coat in and it looks great but he also is shedding like nuts. Wolfie is a 5 yr old dog who was left at a shelter because his owners were moving and unable to take him. He weighs about 42 pounds and is neutered. Wolfie is a good dog but showed some fear aggression to a vet in the shelter. It was the only time anyone [continue reading...]

Spock is healthy and 20.6 lbs. He originally rubbed at his mouth a lot, but that has decreased. Probably due to the good food that he’s eating now.
Spock is friendly with female dogs, but tends to be a little aggressive towards male dogs. He is very friendly when meeting new people. He has allowed children [continue reading...]

Ray, Pixie’s foster dad, gave us a brief update of how Pixie has been doing since she came to his place. He took Pixie to the vet and we found out she may have a kidney infection and also needs to have her teeth cleaned. We will be following up with vet visits [continue reading...]

Brando’s been on some medication and has had a special bath to help alleviate the irritated area and cut down on the itchiness. RUby is a 3 yr old spayed female. She is friendly towards men, women and children but she has some dominance issues with other dogs and sometimes people. Brutus is a 7 yr. old male who came to NYSCR because his former owners had lost their home. He’s about 32lbs and is currently on some antibiotics for kennel cough. His foster mom Tammy has told us also that the vet suggested a teeth cleaning as well as when he gets neutered. [continue reading...]
