Pixie's update 12/8

in Pixie

Ray, Pixie’s foster dad, gave us a brief update of how Pixie has been doing since she came to his place. He took Pixie to the vet and we found out she may have a kidney infection and also needs to have her teeth cleaned. We will be following up with vet visits and see what can be done to help her out with the infection and also get her teeth taken care of.

Personality-wise Pixie is described as incredibly easy going, quiet, calm, and affectionate. She also greets other dogs only if they come up to her, otherwise, she doesn’t seem to care if she passes them on the street. She also really likes it if the dog she meets has calm energy and doesn’t come bounding at her like a crazy bunny. Ray has not seen her get aggressive at all with other dogs and she’s great with kids and adults. She allows everyone to pet her.

Pixie isn’t that interested in playing with toys and also doesn’t seem to have any food or toy possession issues. She’s a very mellow dog and has not shown any behavior problems so far. If the bell rings or any loud noises occur, she doesn’t get nervous at all.

Ray had this to say about Pixie:

Pixie is affectionate and for the most part likes to sit/nap near you in a room. On occasion, she’ll walk off to be by herself in her crate, but she’ll come out and check to see if you’re still around later. If you go out for a while and come home, she’ll come greet you at the door and may even jump on you in a friendly manner. She doesn’t seem to have an aggressive bone in her body! She’s the perfect companion for a busy city slicker, so long as you can get her out 2-3 times a day for a good long walk.

She even knows to sit at the corners when they go for walks and need to wait to cross the street! She’s very smart, knows a few commands, and is having a lot of fun with Ray.
