DJ is doing very well in his new foster home.
His coat has gotten shinier and softer. DJ is a wonderful dog, he is very loving and loves to cuddle. He is a leaner and will push you out of the way to make himself more comfy.

Kato is doing well with his foster dad, Matt, and has been taking medication for his paw. In the time that Matt has had Kato, he’s observed that Kato is indifferent to other dogs and is a well-mannered, nice, friendly dog.

Jordan is getting better about being around people and other dogs. He is still kind of a skittish, and definitely on guard in the house, but he’s sweet and is fine with receiving affection.

A few weeks ago, Bella had an upset stomach leading to diarrhea and vomiting. The vet prescribed antibiotics and fluid injections, which resolved the problems. Brando has a forever home and his new owner absolutely adores him. Brando is one of NYCSR’s most well traveled dogs, having lived in three foster homes in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. Kato is a 1yr old male, red and white shiba. He was picked up by the Brooklyn Animal Care and Control facility as a stray. When they found him he had a wound on his front paw and may have also dislocated his ankle at some point.

Mr. Squeakers has been neutered and is healing up quite nicely. His foster parents are watching his left back leg. When he goes down steps fast he doesn’t use it. When he goes to get his stitches taken out, we will have the vet look at his paw/leg.

Niko is doing very well, he has even lost about 3-5 lbs. He scratches often, but not to the point that he is damaging himself. He did not have an appetite the first week or so. The weight loss is from when he first came into foster care. He is now eating regularly.

in Luna
Luna went to the vet and had a bladder infection and was on antibiotics for two weeks. But this has not stopped her from urinating in the house. Her foster Mom (June) tried keeping her in the kitchen but she was unhappy. She also walked her a lot but she still had accidents in the [continue reading...]
Pixie has maintained her weight at 20 lbs. She shed her winter coat and has a shiny spring coat now. She still seems a bit allergic to dust (consequently herself). But nothing too terrible. She was spayed, had her teeth cleaned and was microchipped. She is recovering nicely and is pretty much back to her [continue reading...]
