Niko still shows some signs of having itchy skin, but it’s not increased. He’s on a diet of eating potato and duck and occasionally being a naughty pup and getting into the trash can to find “forbidden food.” He’s healthy overall and was very calm at the vet.

DJ is a sweetheart and his foster mom told us he’s very happy and likes to play in the yard and has a great time at the dog park. He likes to chew on nylabones and is calming down, not barking as much, and is friendly with other pets.

I had the privilege to meet Buddy and spend time at his foster family’s house. He’s so beautiful and happy. Jenn, his foster mom, told us he does seem to have seasonal allergies which leads to his ears being irritated and if not treated or kept clean, it could give him ear infections. [continue reading...]

Mr. Squeakers is happy, healthy, and is showing more and more the playful side of himself. He’s also been protective of his foster mom who has been recovering from a surgery. Casper’s foster mom has a dog walker so he gets the exercise he needs when she’s not available. His dogwalker told us that he’s great and is the perfect dog. He’s been learning the down command and his dog walker has also been reinforcing it. She let us know that he picked it [continue reading...]

Ginger has lost a little weight, it may be due to the summer as dogs and cats don’t burn energy as much as they do during the winter. She also doesn’t eat as much food as she did before.

Kitsuni aka Bella has been spayed and healed up nicely. She’s shed most of her winter coat and has a nice summer coat and is doing well. Since the surgery she’s been a little more reserved and has taken to hanging out under the bed. She’s also quieter and more reserved around people. [continue reading...]

Chopstix’s foster mom, Jenn, told us recently that things are going well. It seems that Choppy may have allergies as she does tear more than her other dogs and has some stains on her face from it.

Lucy is all healed from her surgery. The oncologist believes the cancer won’t come back, although there is always a slim chance. She prescribed an anti-inflammatory for Lucy to take for 6 months. This will help fight off any cancer inflammation that may pop up.

We have a quick update on Brutus – he’s doing great and loves his forever home. His new family have told us he’s a great addition and fits in perfectly! Their son and Brutus are good friends and everything is going well.

Casper is currently being treated for ringworm. It’s a contagious fungal infection that isn’t too difficult to treat but can be difficult to contain. He’s had a few baths with special shampoo and has a cream applied to the area everyday. This hasn’t affected his personality, but does make it hard to [continue reading...]

Kuna is a male shiba who will be 2 yrs old in September. He’s about 22lbs and was on medication for Lyme’s Disease. He didn’t seem to like the meds as they made him feel ill and sometimes gave him an upset stomach. He’s no longer on the medication but needs to be [continue reading...]
