New York, NY – September 16, 2009 – Take your pick of Chardonnay, Syrah, Shiraz or Shiba when NYC Shiba Rescue, Inc. (NYCSR), a volunteer group dedicated to the rescue of Shiba Inu breed dogs in the NY metropolitan area, serves it up at the Wag’n & Wine’n event on Saturday, September 26th in Mount Holly, NJ.

NYCSR volunteers will be setting up at the event, with glasses in hand and Shiba friends on lead, to continue our commitment to educating the public on Shiba Inus and purebreed rescue, as well as recruit new foster families and potential adopters.

The Wag’n & Wine’n event will feature wine from the Robert Hall Winery, beer from the Flying Dog Brewery, as well as live music all day long.  The event will be held at Mount Holly’s uniquely artistic Mill Race Village from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Directions can be found at, http://www.millraceshops.com/Directions.htm

NYCSR also promotes responsible dog ownership by educating the public in the selection, care and training of dogs.  NYC Shiba Rescue, Inc. (NYCSR) was founded in April 2007. NYCSR is incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation under the Not-for-Profit corporation law of New York State and is a federal 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Hi. I posted this on 2 Shiba related forums. I figured that more Shiba supporters is always better! Two questions have come up and I was wondering if someone who has been to this event could answer.

1. can people bring their own dogs are onl rescues allowed to attend?
2. is there any issue with people under legal drinking age to attend since beer and wine are available?

I’d think that leashed pets would be permitted and people of all ages may attend. A few of the people that want to come are travelling a few hours each way, so they dont want to have any issues bringing their pets and/or children.

Thanks and hope to see you there!!!
