Introducing Thunder!

Thunder is a male shiba who is 4 yrs old and hails from Brooklyn. He was at the Brooklyn ACC and was very happy when he met our evaluator at the shelter. At first, he was nervous and shaking when he met our evaluator and soon to be new foster mom, but after a few minutes, he showed curiosity and a desire to receive attention.

Thunder is house broken, crate trained, and responds very well to being called. He really likes having his ears rubbed and petted. He’s great with people and children but was once injured by a dog and since then has had some fear issues when meeting and seeing other dogs. If a dog gets too close Thunder responds with aggression. His current foster has another dog but so far Thunder has ignored her and seems very content to be out of the shelter and in a home. He’s had a bath, gone for several walks, and takes naps in his crate.

Stay tuned to learn more about Thunder.

  1. Yvonne Chen Wasko says:

    Hi there,

My husband and I are looking to adopt a shiba Inu, and Thunder really touches our hearts. We have no children and no other pets. I work from home and am ready to devote my time, energy and effort to the new family member.
We’re also interested in Kashi and Neeko. Is it possible to come to visit them. In the end of day, we only hope the dog is as happy and comfortable with us as we’re with them. We’re ready to commit to provide a warm and loving home to our little friends.

I just faxed the application this afternoon, please contact me at your convenience!

    • Thank you for the application. We review them in the order received and our adoption coordinator will contact you if there is a great match.
