Back in July we introduced our foster, Fonzo, who is a sweet and loving who we learned is very active and will give all his attention to his primary caregiver. Since then, he has been consistent with that energy and love!
During moments when Fonzo is left alone, he can become anxious and act on his insecurities by barking. His foster family has been instrumental in working with him so that he feels less alone during these times. With his foster mom’s efforts, he is able to be left in the crate while she is out of the home. Fonzo will sometimes be reactive when he wants to keep his food or a toy that he deems high value but is learning that these items will be removed from his possession if he displays negative energy towards anyone that comes near during these times. With a bit of patience, training him is simple!
He is a very active dog and will do best with a family with older children who can keep him occupied and play with him frequently. He’s shown that he is okay with other dogs and older children. Fonzo enjoys a good game of tug of war and will keep going until you decide that the game is over! This guy aims to please his caregiver and will give you all his attention is he was yours!
