A few weeks ago, 15 yr old Jada was transported to her foster home from the Brooklyn AC&C.
Fifteen year old Vanilla came into foster care from AC&C on Sunday. A gentle, soulful old lady, Vanilla deserves a home where she can retire comfortably.
Snowflake is a 3 yr old male Shiba who was picked up as a stray and taken to Brooklyn AC&C. He’s been with NYCSR for about a week now.
Bolt is a sweet 10 week old creamie boy who already loves to play and give lots of kisses.
We’re pleased to introduce Molle who is only 4 months old and 9 lbs.
Redd is a sweet bundle of energy who loves attention and belly rubs.
Sammy was surrendered to Staten Island AC&C along with 3 other dogs due to his owners moving. Sammy is friendly and has already rolled over for a belly rub from his foster person.
Last Monday we had the pleasure of picking up Hubby from AC&C Manhattan. Hubby is a sweet boy who we think is about 6 years old. He was left behind in a basement after his owners moved away.
Cooper is only 3 1/2 months old and weighs 9 lbs! This cutie is friendly, playful and interacts well with people and children.
Peaches and Griffin came to NYCSR from a military family who is being sent to Japan and can’t take their two Shibas with them.
Dakota was recently found in Little Neck, Queens. Her finders searched extensively for her owners, but no one claimed Dakota. She’s in foster care and will be available for adoption soon.
Meech is a 4 year old male Shiba who was brought into NYCSR foster care this Sunday. His family was not able to bring him along in a move, so they reached out to us to make sure he was given the best care & a great new home.

NYCSR took in two black and tan foster dogs this weekend… Solo and Doggie.
Buddy is a six year old male Shiba who was surrendered to the Bucks County SPCA when his owner needed some medical care and could no longer care for him.
Rescued in 2008 after living her whole life on a chain, Bea is estimated to be 18 years old now and lives the life of a spoiled princess. Talk about a rescue success story!
Our newest foster dog, Makeda, is tiny, friendly, playful and does well with other dogs, although larger dogs do tend to make her nervous.
Sable was possibly hit by a car. She has a broken toe and another broken bone in the same foot/leg which is splinted. In spite of her injury, she kissed the nose of our volunteer who evaluated her at AC&C.
Kitsu will be 12 years old in July. He is nervous around children, gets along with other dogs (better when he’s not leashed), and has lived with a cat.
Lisa is an approximately two year old Shiba mix who was taken as a stray to the Brooklyn AC&C. We don’t know much about her yet, but we hear she’s sweet and gives kisses.
