This beautiful girl’s name is Autumn. She is a Shiba-mix, who was found as a stray in the Bronx. We have recently placed her into a NYCSR foster home. Autumn is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped and house broken. She’s currently about 50 lbs.

We’re happy to welcome Kato into NYCSR’s foster program! Kato is an extremely sweet 8 year old male. He is about 25 pounds and is 17″ tall. He is also up to date on all his vaccinations, and is being neutered this week. He is heartworm negative and his bloodwork has come back looking great. [continue reading...]

Coia (pronounced Koi-a) is a very cute red sesame girl who is only about a year old. On Sept 21st she was found wandering around Elysian Park in Hoboken, NJ without any tags or microchip. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan picked her up and we quickly listed her on NYCSR’s Lost & Found Page.

Lightening is a neutered, male Shiba Inu. He’s about a year old. He is up to date on all vaccinations and was recently treated, successfully, for heartworms.

Blueberry (now Kodi) went to his new home a few weeks ago and is loving life with his new family, especially his “sister” Tika. I saw Kodi at a Shiba Meetup a week or so after his adoption was finalized and he was definitely a happy boy.

Roxy recently arrived at a no kill shelter in NJ as a stray. We normally only work with shelters where dogs are in immediate danger, but the Operations Supervisor at this shelter was concerned because Roxy was becoming quite anxious in the kennels.
