Pixie is doing wonderfully now that her kidney problems have cleared up. It seems she may have ingested some sort of ibuprofen, and now shows no signs of problems. Pixie has maintained her weight at 20 lbs. She shed her winter coat and has a shiny spring coat now. She still seems a bit allergic to dust (consequently herself). But nothing too terrible. She was spayed, had her teeth cleaned and was microchipped. She is recovering nicely and is pretty much back to her [continue reading...]

Pixie is doing very well with her foster family. She’s about 20lbs and her coat is looking great. Pixie is shiny and soft according to her foster dad, Ray. A few weeks ago Pixie showed some signs of illness and we weren’t sure how serious it was. It seemed that her kidneys were not working 100% and may have had an infection or something that might require some extra TLC for the rest of her life. We found out last week that she’s improving! Pixie is a 7yr old, tri-colored, unspayed female who needs a new home. She weighs about 23 lbs. Her former owners moved and were unable to keep her.
